Return/ Refund Policy

The following items are final sale and not returnable.

Non-returnable items

  • Perishable goods (such as food or sake)*
  • All types of Glassware or drinkware
  • Sake Accessories
  • Gift Cards
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items)
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products)
  • Final Sale Items are non-returnable for any reason.
  • Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

*Return Policy Exceptions For Sake

New York State law, states that alcoholic beverages cannot be returned, except in instances where the merchandise is defective in quality

Dassai USA, INC. does not accept any returns except in the following scenarios:

Damaged, Defective, Missing or Wrong Item

  • If any of your order items are damaged, defective, missing, or different from what you ordered, Dassai USA, INC.  might be able to accept a return. Please see below for more information and instructions.
  • Please report any damaged, missing, or wrong item issues within 72 hours of the delivery. It may not be possible for Dassai USA, INC. to accommodate your request after that time. 

Damaged items:

  • If the package appears to have been tampered with or damaged during transit please refuse the shipment and notify us immediately.
  • Upon receiving your order, If you find that an item has been damaged in transit, get in touch with us straight away.
  • Take a photo of the item(s) in question. If possible, please also include a photo of the packing material.
  • Do not discard any damaged products or packaging unless you are instructed by one of our associates.

Defective items:

  • Customers have the opportunity to return any item they perceive to be defective within 30 days of receiving the shipment. Please ensure that the bottle, alongside its original closure and proof of purchase, is kept intact for inspection purposes - we cannot replace bottles that are fully consumed or discarded. 
  • We will promptly organize a pick-up and return of the package to our facility. Our team will inspect the contents to verify the spoilage before arranging to send out your replacement bottles. It is crucial to promptly inform us of any spoilage issues info@dassai.com.

Missing and Incorrect Items:

  • Upon receiving your order, it's essential to check all items promptly. If you find that an item is missing or you received an incorrect item, get in touch with us straight away.
  • Take a photo of all the item(s) received. If possible, please also include a photo of the packing material.
  • Do not discard any products or packaging unless you are instructed by one of our associates.
  • If you receive the wrong item, make sure it remains unopened.

  • We cannot refund or return items that have been opened or consumed.

Order Cancellation:

  • Orders are processed as soon as they are submitted and are scheduled for delivery or shipping as soon as possible.
  • If you wish to cancel your order please contact us ASAP by calling 845-407-0721 or emailing us at info@dassai.com.
  • If your order has already shipped or is en route to you, it cannot be canceled. If the order is returned to our brewery in Hyde Park and you opt to cancel it, a refund will be issued only for the product value as invoiced minus a 20% restocking fee as well as any other fees that might occur due to the return.

On-Hold Orders & Pick-Up Orders:

  • Order cancellations are accepted within 30 days from the purchase date or before the order has been dispatched or collected. For orders that have been placed on Hold for more than 30 days, cancellations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please note that order cancellations might be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Return Information for Items Eligible for Returns

  • We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

  • If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

  • We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
